Resistant Dextrin is a soluble dietary fiber produced from corn starch through acid and enzymatic hydrolysis followed by purification. Its molecular structure contains abundant α-1,4 and α-1,6 glycosidic bonds resistant to digestion in the small intestine but fermentable by colonic microbiota. Widely used in beverages, dairy, bakery and nutraceuticals.
Soluble fiber: Excellent water solubility, usable in clear beverages
Low GI: Slows blood glucose rise, suitable for glycemic management
Low calorie: Only 2 kcal/g, ideal for weight management products
Prebiotic function: Promotes growth of beneficial gut bacteria
Process stable: Good thermal stability suitable for high-temperature processing
